The Crown Inn is a laid-back cocktail bar nestled on Franklin Avenue in Brooklyn, known for its easygoing vibe and well-crafted drinks. The space balances a low-key, intimate atmosphere with a subtle buzz of energy, making it a good spot for anyone looking to unwind without the overwhelming loudness of a typical nightlife scene.

The bar’s crowd seems to be a mix of locals who appreciate thoughtful cocktails and visitors who want a neat place to have a real conversation. Bartenders are friendly and efficient without being overly chatty, which keeps the mood relaxed and approachable. Seating at the bar encourages casual, face-to-face interaction, while the backyard is a versatile extension often used for gatherings like postwedding brunches or birthday celebrations.

The drink menu leans into variety with options like a Mango Margarita, Blood Mary, and Aperol Spritz, alongside beers such as Bell's Two Hearted IPA and seasonal drafts like the Evil Twin Chocolate Cake Imperial Stout. The selection strikes a balance between familiar favorites and locally sourced or creative choices, which fits well with the Brooklyn neighborhood's taste for elevated yet accessible drinks. Seasonal specialties like spiced apple cider with bourbon give a nod to comfort and warmth during colder months.

One of the thoughtful touches is the option to bring outside food, making it easy to customize your night whether you’re popping in for a strong cocktail or hosting a casual celebration. The staff’s attentiveness, especially during unpredictable weather or busy gatherings, speaks to a place where people feel taken care of without fuss.

Overall, The Crown Inn works well for intimate group celebrations, chill evenings catching up with friends, or simply enjoying a strong drink paired with some good music in a space that doesn't try too hard. Early evenings and late nights are both comfortable times to visit—a drink at 1am, for example, still finds a steady but manageable crowd and upbeat vibes without losing the personal touch.

The nicest people to work with! Had a birthday gathering at Crown Inn and the team went above and beyond when it started storming that same night to make sure we had room to celebrate.

Dim chill place with good music and well made cocktails. Bartenders are quick and friendly but not too quick or friendly. Good bar to swing by for a strong drink and have an actual conversation.

I had a going away party at Crown Inn and from the beginning the staff were super helpful from reserving tables, asking my questions leading up to the party, and making sure we were taking care of. This is the perfect bar to gather with friends and have a great time. You can also bring outside food which is a nice plus!

Crown Inn is the best! We used their backyard for our post-wedding brunch. The staff was amazing, the mimosas were flowing, and the space was perfect.

This was a great bar with low key vibe. We got there at 1am the thr music was upbeat and tge drinks were flowing. I ordered a spiced apple cider with bourbon. It was amazing. The 5qst of the holidays mixed with the warmed of a NYC feel gave me what I needed. It was definitely a sipping drink with enough alcohol to put everything in the right perspective

Excellent cozy bar with great service in the middle of Crown Heights. Lots of seating both indoors and outdoors and reasonable prices. Can get very noisy inside, and service can be a bit slow. But all in all really nice inn especially if you like it dark ambiance.

The most reliable spot on Franklin Avenue for beer on tap, a nice wine, a staple signature cocktail. Popular joint, nice bartenders, swell backyard patio. Been around awhile for a reason. Nice dark interior with all the vibes. After 10 or so can get crowded on weekends, mostly in a good way. Get there in the pm after they open at 4 for a straightforwardly close space to have a chat. Wonderful place to spot a drink with friends before or after dinner. Great location on Franklin. It’s a bar you want in your neighborhood and the people you find there are usually the ones you wanted to find.
